Friendly staff; Relaxed environment; Competitive pricing via Booked.net
1.) The ramp when entering the parking area, as well as the parking area, are too narrow - an accident waiting to happen everyday. 2.) The bar fridge in the room does not work, and after reporting the issue, it was declared that they do not have the capacity to assist/replace/repair at the time, and, in fact, there are more fridges in the rooms that are faulty - i say remove the facility, or fix it. 3.) The iron at the hotel that i used had a sheared cord - this is unsafe as per the OHS act. Overall good hotel, just need to recogise and improve the small issues (2&3 above - short term fix; 1 - long term fix, etc), to justify the 4-star rating service expected by clients.
We were well welcomed the lady at the reception was friendly and explained everything.I Have forgotten her name but she was the best.
The room was spaceous, even though I did have breakfast I am looking forward to having it.
The prospect of having to pay R50/day for parking even though you are a customer.
The only problem was the air conditioner in the room wasn't working and the fridge wasn't working.
I was in transit---needing to spend one night in Jo-burg to catch a bus in the morning. So---being a five minute ride from Park Station in downtown Jo-burg, the hotel was ideal for me. The design of the hotel is different----apparently a building converted from something else, so ceilings of raw cement but with modern lighting, smooth natural surfaces, etc. Not my taste---but that's just me, as some would like it a lot.
I arrived in JoBurg at 9 pm at Park Station, and I chose the hotel because it is close to the station and that station at night is a bit dodgy. I got a cab to the hotel (five minute ride)---but when I got to the hotel, the door was locked and there was no one in sight. Luckily I had the phone number and my cell, so called reception, and they came to open the door. It was the security force at fault, not the hotel staff----but not a good place to be standing alone with a suitcase at 9 pm.
Something must b done about the parking... Bar facilities should stay opened til late there should be swimming pool and pool table
I enjoyed the room, the bed, nothing else.
Yes, the staff, the restaurant. When we got there, our romm was not booked, everyone in a very bad mood. The restaurant has served us an uneatable food, the fridge in ou room was not working and was never fixed (the receptionist actually yelled at us on the telephone), the card machine didn't work when we're checking out, I had to go to an atm. We were poorly treated since the moment we've arrived. Never go back. Don't recomend at all.
Friendly staff and clean well equipped rooms
Immediate surroundings and only 100mb limit on wifi
the staff was not very helpfull as they did not know about the conference we had to attend
- They charged me more than indicated by Booked.net - Rooms were very cold and heater did not work - While booking, showed breakfast included but later said no meal plan. Hotel wanted to charge ZAR 145 for breakfast. With this rates, the room price is excessive. - no communication from hotel staff on transport arrangements - charged fullday room rate for 4 hours stay, but did not provide the wifi accordingly
easy for town trip and business
excellent service from staff and even the travel desk was very obliging, i would highly recommend.
The bed room is clean.
We're surprised to see the ceiling of the room, which looks like an unfinished parking garage ceiling. But other walls in the room are ok. We thought that the parking is free, but turned out we must pay. The location is like in the middle of no where. No swimming pool in the hotel. Basically it's just a place to sleep. That's all.
Toilet was not private... Shower had a problem ... toilet was leaking.....request was for a double bed - got 2 single beds instead
What I found very disturbing was the absolute lack of security for hotel guests.I Am caucasion and my girlfriend is black. I arrived at the hotel first and went to 3rd floor reception to book in then went to the elavator and straight to 15th floor and my room. It suddenly crossed my mind that if I wanted to I could have gotten into the room area's of the hotel without being challenged from the street. When my girlfrie3nd arrived she did mentiomned it to me immediatly saying that she went into the parking, went straight to the lift and straight to my room not once encountering security or staff.i later that evening went to retrieve a bag from my car and while in the parking lot came across 2 very supicious individuals who had obviously just come down fro a flight of metal stairs and the got into their very badly delapilated car. They reeked of dagga. The knowledge that these guys had full access to the rooms worried me. Staff not very friendly, I have worked my whole life in the hospitality industry and at the atble Bay hotel capeTown and even though we were taught to have a controlled alloofnes, the black ladies at reception seemed to have a attitude of unfriendliness about them.maybe because I was a white South African male?
